Health treatment HIIS
We cooperate with experts to treat, improve and relieve problems with allergies, skin conditions, respiratory diseases and functional impairment after injuries and musculoskeletal surgery.
Health Resort programmes and physiotherapy with a long tradition:
- respiratory physiotherapy;
- kinesiotherapy;
- electrotherapy;
- hydrotherapy;
- occupational therapy;
- seawater baths with underwater massage;
- polygon and therapy stations for outdoor physiotherapy.
The doctors have been unanimous for decades now: the treatment at Debeli rtič combines the positive effects and healing effects of the sea water, the favourable and soothing Mediterranean climate and expert treatment. The treatment programme is based on the clinical picture of the patient and is in line with the doctrine of the rehabilitation programme for children, which is carried out at the Department of Pulmonary Diseases of the University Children’s Hospital in Ljubljana, the Children’s Department of the Dermatology Clinic and the Children’s Department of the University Rehabilitation Institute in Ljubljana.
We help children and adolescents in:
- respiratory diseases
(recurrent bronchiolitis and bronchitis with respiratory distress, allergic rhinitis when all therapies including immunotherapy have been exhausted, frequent exacerbations of asthma despite regular anti-inflammatory therapy); - skin diseases
(atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis); - after injuries and operations on the musculoskeletal system;
How do we help?
- with a personalised medical care programme;
- respiratory physiotherapy adapted to the age and developmental stage of the children;
- hydrophysiotherapy for children with skin conditions;
- physiotherapy and occupational therapy for children with congenital musculoskeletal problems and after injuries and operations;
- individual and group hydrotherapy in seawater.
The programmes are carried out in the physiotherapy rooms, the gym, outdoors, in the seawater pool, in the children’s pool, in the whirlpool and in the underwater massage baths.

EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO TREATMENT IN 4 STEPS
Ask the child’s chosen doctor to submit a proposal for spa treatment to the designated ZZZS doctor, who will approve or reject the spa treatment;
If the designated doctor of the ZZZS approves spa treatment, he/she issues a decision specifying the duration (14) and place of treatment;
You will receive an invitation by mail with the exact date and time of admission – the child has the option of treatment:
– in a group with 24-hour presence of a teacher
– accompanied by parents
For the same chronic illness, a child has the right to resort to health resort treatment once a year (Article 48 of the Health Insurance Act).
