Since 1956, we have been organising unforgettable vacations for children, adolescents, and seniors. Morning jogs in the forest, boat trips, hidden treasure hunts, creative workshops, unforgettable experiences and many pleasant moments await in our company at Debeli rtič. How do I become a potential candidate for a job as an educator?
Fill in the online application form and you will receive an email confirmation.
What is the difference between social and medical holidays and health resort treatments?
The vacation programme is the same for social and medical holidays.
The medical treatment includes different therapies, as it is attended by children with chronic illnesses (asthma, dermatitis) or therapies after an injury. Social holidays last 7 days, medical holidays last 8–10 days and treatments last 14 days.
How do I obtain a certificate of no criminal record?

What do I need to bring on holiday?
Bring clothing suitable for the season. It is recommended to bring a backpack and a water bottle. You should also bring coffee if you drink it. If you are involved in an interesting activity and would like to share your interest with the children, please bring your own props.
Do I need to bring bedding?
No, bed linen is provided.
Do I need to bring towels?
Yes, both for personal hygiene and for the beach/pool.
What transport options do I have to get to Debeli rtič?
Own transport, public transport, prevozi.org. We will reimburse travel expenses on the basis of a public transport receipt.
Where can I get a public transport certificate?
You will receive a transport certificate from the carrier. The certificate is payable once. The same certificate will apply for future cooperation. Also the ticket is sufficient.
Will I receive reimbursement for travel expenses if I come to Debeli Rtič by car?
Yes, on the basis of a public transport certificate.
Can I park my car at the Health Resort and how much is the fee?
Yes, you can park your car in the Health Resort’s car park. We provide free parking for the use of the caregivers.

Where do I check in when I arrive at the Health Resort? What time do I need to arrive at the Health Resort? What time is the initial appointment?
Guests must check in at the reception of Hotel Arija upon arrival. Check-in is until 4:00 pm, with an introductory meeting at 5:00 pm. You will receive information about the location of the meeting when you check in. We recommend that you use the time until your appointment to take a walk around the resort.
What documents do I need to register at the healt resort?
ID (ID card or passport).
Where can I get a tax number certificate?
You can obtain a tax number certificate from any tax office, except the General and Special Tax Offices. You must have a valid identification document.
What is the age of children on a holiday?
From 7–15 years.
How many children are in the group?
Each caregiver has a group of 8–12 children, separated by gender depending on their age.
Where can children swim and what about non-swimmers?
Children can swim in the sea and the outdoor pool in summer, and in the indoor pool during the other seasons. We organise swimming lessons for non-swimmers.
Do I get a certificate for my volunteering?
Yes.
How can I collaborate with the organization?
An internship, a student referral, a volunteering arrangement or a subcontract.
Who is in the pedagogical team at the holiday?
The pedagogical team is made up of a group of educators who work closely with the wider pedagogical team (pedagogical leader, coordinator, additional educator and educator for psychological support for children, adolescents and guardians).
How do children get to the holiday?
Children arrive by bus and are accompanied by caregivers in both directions. On the first day, you go by bus in the morning to pick up the children in Slovenia, and on the last day, after breakfast, you accompany them home again. You leave the bus when there are no more children on the bus.
What can I do with my children on holiday?
It is based on a programme performed by you or external contractors. As well as swimming, the programme includes sports, creative and themed activities, and children’s days are enriched by external guests.
Despite the planned programme your ideas are more than welcome and will be incorporated into the programme before your arrival.
Can I bring games and creative materials?
Yes, it is desirable.
Where are the children accommodated?
In youth hostels.
Do I sleep in the same room as the children?
Yes.
Is dietary food provided?
Yes, but please let us know in advance.
Do I need a doctor's certificate for dieting?
No, not necessary.
How are groups of children determined?
Groups of children are divided by age and gender.
How is the age and gender of the group I take over determined?
It is very helpful if you specify the age group and gender of the desired group.
